Our Story

Built on experience. Grounded in the Triangle.

Snowdowne Aerial Solutions is a locally owned drone services company serving Wake, Johnston, and Harnett counties. Here's the background behind the business — and the person flying it.

From the Cockpit to the Bridge to the Sky Again

Flying a motorized glider with the Air Training Corps Volunteer Gliding School, UK

Volunteer Gliding School, UK — the beginning of it all.

My relationship with flight started at 13, when I joined the Air Training Corps in the UK. By 14, I had my hands on the controls of a motorized glider. By 16, I was flying solo with the Volunteer Gliding School. In 2007, I was ranked among the top four student pilots in my cohort and earned a scholarship to complete my Private Pilot License at 17, a year before I could legally drive unsupervised back home.

That early education in aerodynamics, situational awareness, and precision under pressure didn't stay in the cockpit. It came with me to sea, where I spent years working internationally on the bridge of commercial vessels for a cruise line. That's also where I met my wife, who is American-born and raised, while we were both working aboard. The instruments changed: currents in place of wind, center of buoyancy in place of center of lift. But the underlying discipline didn't change: read the environment correctly, respect the margins, and never stop cross-checking your instruments.

In 2014, I moved to the United States to build our life together, and we've proudly called North Carolina home for over ten years now, raising our three children here.

On land, I built a second career in technology, one grounded in the same technical depth and attention to detail. I hold a BS in Information Technology and an MBA, and I'm currently completing a doctoral program in Business Administration. Years spent solving technical problems and managing complex systems in IT taught me how to translate precision into deliverables people can actually rely on.

Snowdowne Aerial Solutions is where all of it converges. The instinct for reading airspace, the discipline of instrument-based navigation, and the rigor of enterprise technical work now show up in every flight plan, every inspection, and every dataset I deliver. As an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot, I bring two decades of thinking in three dimensions to every project: methodical, safety-first, and focused on the outcome before the aircraft ever leaves the ground.

I'm proud to have made North Carolina our home, and I'm equally proud to bring that same care and precision to the businesses and neighbors right here in Wake, Johnston, and Harnett counties.
